How to play Redline Rivals
Redline Rivals is a 3D arcade racing game. You line up with five computer rivals and race three laps. Finish first to win, and chase your fastest lap: your five best laps on each track are saved on this device.
Each of the seven cars has its own speed, acceleration and handling. You start with the balanced Comet GT, the nimble Pocket Rocket hot hatch, the Metro Dash cab and the fast but heavy Gilded Cruiser. Win any race to unlock the Volt Viper, win on all three tracks for the Interceptor, and win the Grand Cup for the Nova X hypercar. Paint any car in the Garage.
Steer with A and D or the arrow keys, accelerate with W and brake or reverse with S. Hold Space while turning to drift; drifting fills your nitro bar faster, and a long drift gives a mini-boost when you let go. Press Shift to burn nitro, and hold the gas as the countdown ends for a rocket start. On a phone the car accelerates by itself, you steer by dragging on the left, and the buttons brake, boost and drift.
Harbor Loop is a fast seaside circuit, Canyon Sprint winds between desert mesas and Neon Night races through a glowing city after dark. Quick Race picks one track; the Grand Cup is a three-race championship decided on points.
Frequently asked questions
How do I unlock more cars?
Four cars are open from the start. Win any race for the Volt Viper, win at least once on every track for the Interceptor, and win the Grand Cup for the Nova X. Unlocks are saved in your browser.
How does drifting work?
Hold Space (or ↯) while steering at speed. The car slides, your nitro bar fills faster, and if you hold the drift for about a second you get a mini-boost when you release it.
Does it work on phones?
Yes. The car accelerates automatically; drag on the left half of the screen to steer and use the on-screen buttons to brake, use nitro and drift. Paint colours are picked in the Garage.
