Syllabus / format overview
- CAT is the common admission test for IIMs and many other Indian MBA programmes.
- Sections typically cover VARC, DILR and QA in a timed computer-based format.
- Confirm registration and exam day rules on the official iimcat.ac.in portal.
Study plan
- Week 1: Section formats + one diagnostic.
- Week 2: Weakest section in Pomodoro blocks.
- Week 3: Timed sets with countdown timer.
- Week 4: Two mocks; review every miss.
Tip checklist
- CAT is about selection under time — accuracy beats attempting everything blindly.
- Use official mock / practice only from the CAT website when offered.
