August 15
August 15 collects short history notes for families. The years on this page include 1432, 1702, 1038, 1070. Violent events and crimes are left off. Each line is a small true thing to ask about, not a whole lesson. February 29 is included so a leap-day birthday still has a page. Walk with the previous and next links, or open the August hub for the rest of the month.
- In 1432, Luigi Pulci was born. Luigi became known as italian poet.
- In 1702, Francesco Zuccarelli was born. Francesco became known as italian painter and Royal Academician.
- In 1038, king Stephen I, the first king of Hungary, dies; his nephew, Peter Orseolo, succeeds him.
