June 11
June 11 collects short history notes for families. The years on this page include 1456, 1540, 1157. Violent events and crimes are left off. Each line is a small true thing to ask about, not a whole lesson. February 29 is included so a leap-day birthday still has a page. Walk with the previous and next links, or open the June hub for the rest of the month.
- In 1456, Anne Neville was born. Anne became known as princess of Wales and Queen Consort of England.
- In 1540, Barnabe Googe was born. Barnabe became known as english poet and translator.
- In 1157, albert I of Brandenburg, also called The Bear (Ger: Albrecht der Bär), becomes the founder of the Margraviate of Brandenburg, Germany and the first margrave.
