How to play Critter Chomp.io
Critter Chomp.io is an .io-style arena game that you play offline against bots. Your critter swims towards your finger or mouse pointer. Eat the coloured dots to grow.
Anything with a green ring is smaller than you, so you can swim over it and chomp it. Anything with a red ring is bigger, so keep away. Bigger critters are slower, so small ones can escape if they are quick.
Hold Boost (or Space) to dash. Dashing costs a little size and leaves a trail of dots behind you. The leaderboard shows the five biggest critters, and the mini map shows where the big bots are. Reach new best sizes to unlock new critters to play as.
Tips: stay near the edges of crowds at first and eat the dots that big critters leave behind when they dash. Use Boost to catch a small critter or to escape, but not all the time, because it shrinks you. When you are the biggest, the others will try to run, so cut corners to trap them against the arena wall.
