How to use the World Festival Countdowns

This page brings festivals of many communities together, treated equally and sorted only by date: Hindu, Sikh and Punjabi, Muslim, Christian, Jewish, Buddhist, East Asian, Southeast Asian, Persian and Central Asian, Latin American, African and African diaspora, North American and worldwide celebrations.

Each row shows a live countdown to the start of the festival day in your own time zone. Use the community buttons to show just one group, and tap a festival name for its own page with the date explained, FAQs and a link to make a greeting card.

Some dates are fixed (Christmas, Halloween, Valentine’s Day) and some follow lunar or lunisolar calendars (Diwali, Eid, Hanukkah, Lunar New Year). Dates that depend on moon sighting or local calendars are marked “expected”; please check with your local temple, gurdwara, mosque, church, synagogue or community.

Worked example: on 7 October 2026 the next festivals are Navratri (11 October), Canadian Thanksgiving (12 October) and Dussehra (20 October), followed by Halloween and Día de Muertos.
