Sky Strike 3DPlayAI Image Upscaler – Enhance Photos 2x & 4x Free
Make small or blurry pictures bigger and sharper with a super-resolution AI that runs on your own device.
- Free
- Instant result
- Private · on-device
- No sign-up
How to use: Choose an image, pick 2x or 4x and press “Upscale with AI”. Drag the slider to compare before and after, then download a PNG.
Runs the open-source Swin2SR super-resolution model (Apache-2.0, via transformers.js) on your device. About 21 MB downloads once (32 MB on computers that use the faster WebGPU mode), then it is cached. Your image never leaves this device.
How to use the AI Image Upscaler
Stretching a small picture normally just makes it bigger and blurrier. An AI upscaler is different: a neural network trained on millions of image pairs predicts what the missing fine detail should look like, so edges, text and textures come out cleaner. This tool uses Swin2SR, an open-source super-resolution model from the University of Würzburg, and runs it entirely in your browser.
Choose an image and press “Upscale with AI”. The model downloads once (about 21 MB) and is then cached. It works in small tiles, so it also runs on phones. 2× doubles the width and height. 4× runs the model twice, great for thumbnails, icons and old scans.
When it finishes, drag the compare slider: the left side shows normal enlargement and the right side the AI result. Download the PNG at full quality. To keep it fast, large photos are reduced to 400 px (2×) or 200 px (4×) before upscaling; for photos that are already big, our classic image upscaler with sharpening is quicker.
AI upscaling cannot recover details that were never captured, such as a face from a few pixels, and it can make heavy JPEG noise look smoother than reality. Use it to improve images, not as evidence.
VSH take: many AI upscalers online upload your photo, add a watermark or ask for credits after a few images. This one is free with no limits because your own device does the work, and personal photos stay private.
Frequently asked questions
Is this a real AI upscaler?
Yes. It runs the Swin2SR super-resolution neural network (Apache-2.0 licence) in your browser, the same family of models used by research benchmarks for image super-resolution.
Is my photo uploaded?
No. The model is downloaded to your browser and the image is processed on your device.
Is there a watermark or limit?
No watermark, no account and no daily limit.
Why is there a maximum input size?
Super-resolution is heavy work. Limiting the input to 400 px (2×) or 200 px (4×) keeps it fast and stops phones running out of memory. The output is up to 800 px. Computers with a modern graphics chip (WebGPU) run it much faster.
Which images work best?
Small photos, thumbnails, logos, screenshots and old scans. Very noisy or tiny faces cannot be fully restored.
