ALCS 2026: Guardians vs Rays—How to Follow MLB Tonight
Short answer
On 13 October 2026, U.S. search interest spiked around MLB tonight as the ALCS between the Cleveland Guardians and Tampa Bay Rays continued. Use MLB’s official postseason hub for lineups and first-pitch times; the World Series is still scheduled to open 23 October.
“MLB tonight” and “baseball tonight” led U.S. Google Trends lists on 13 October 2026 as Championship Series baseball filled prime time. This guide stays neutral: no predicted scores—just how the ALCS fits the 2026 postseason and how to watch without spoilers.
Where the series sits
MLB’s published 2026 postseason calendar places League Championship Series games in mid-October, with the World Series opening Friday, 23 October on FOX. By mid-month only four clubs remain. Contemporary reports on 13 October described Cleveland taking Game 1 of the ALCS against Tampa Bay; always confirm the live series score on MLB.com because playoff leads change nightly.
For the November calendar once finalists are set, see our World Series 2026 schedule.
How to follow without chaos
- Pin MLB’s ALCS series page for lineups and delayed starts.
- Convert first pitch with the world clock if you are outside Eastern Time.
- Mute social keywords until you finish a recording.
- Count sleeps to Game day with the countdown timer.
Why searches spike midweek
Championship Series games create concentrated national audiences. Casual fans who skipped the Wild Card round arrive now asking “who’s playing tonight?” Official apps beat random score scrapers for reliability.
Travel and ticket notes
If you are flying to a host city, wait for the series to be clinched before locking non-refundable rooms near a ballpark that might not host Game 6. Use the date difference calculator against the 23 October World Series start when planning November leave.
