Sunrise & Sunset Times – Daylight Anywhere

See sunrise, sunset, solar noon and how long the day lasts for any place on Earth.

How to use: Pick a city or enter latitude and longitude, choose a date, and read sunrise, sunset and day length.

Times are computed on your device from the date and coordinates (NOAA-style solar equations). Not a religious prayer timetable.

How to use the Sunrise & Sunset

Photographers, hikers, pilots and anyone planning outdoor work care about when the sun rises and sets. This calculator gives sunrise, sunset, solar noon and the length of daylight for a chosen date and place, using well-known solar position equations that run entirely in your browser.

Search for a city to fill latitude and longitude, or type coordinates yourself. Pick any date to see how day length changes through the seasons. Results are shown in your local clock time for that location’s offset when the browser can resolve it, with a clear note that these are civil daylight times, not a religious prayer schedule.

Atmospheric refraction, hills and tall buildings can shift the exact moment you see the sun by a minute or two. Polar regions near midnight sun or polar night need careful reading because the sun may not rise or set at all on some dates. For navigation or legal uses, confirm with an official almanac.

No location data is sent to our servers when you only use typed coordinates. City search uses the same free geocoder as our weather tool. Updated October 2026.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a prayer time calculator?

No. It only shows civil sunrise, sunset and daylight length. It is not a religious timetable.

Why might my phone differ by a minute?

Apps use slightly different refraction models and elevation. A one-minute gap is common.

Does it work near the poles?

Yes, but some dates have no sunrise or sunset. The tool explains when that happens.

Do I need the internet?

Coordinates-only mode works offline after the page loads. City search needs a connection.
