How to use the Air Quality
Air quality affects outdoor exercise, school sports and how comfortable it feels to open a window. This tool reports a US Air Quality Index style number along with PM2.5 and PM10 particle levels for cities worldwide, using Open-Meteo’s free air-quality API through our server.
Search for a city, confirm the right place when names collide, and read the current values with a plain-language band such as good, moderate or unhealthy. Figures are cached briefly for speed. Categories follow common US AQI style ranges so the colours stay familiar to many travellers.
Monitors can miss neighbourhood hotspots, wildfire smoke plumes and indoor conditions. People with asthma or heart conditions should follow local health department advice and their clinician, not this page alone. The tool is not medical advice and cannot replace official alerts.
