How to use the Passport Size Photo Maker
Choose a recent, front-facing photo with even light, a neutral expression and nothing covering your face. A phone photo taken against a plain wall works well. Pick the size you need: India passport size is 35 × 45 mm, US passports and visas use 2 × 2 inches, and Canada uses 50 × 70 mm.
The face detector finds your eyes and chin, estimates the height of your head from crown to chin and scales the photo so the head fills the share each country asks for, for example about 70% of the height for a 35 × 45 mm photo. The selfie segmenter then replaces the background with white or another plain colour. The dashed lines show where the top of your head and chin should be; use the sliders if your hair or chin is outside them.
Worked example: an India passport size photo comes out as 413 × 531 pixels at 300 DPI. The 4 × 6 inch sheet holds 8 copies and the A4 sheet holds 36; print at “actual size” and cut along the grey lines.
Rules differ by country and change, so check the official photo guidance before you submit; for example, US photos must not have glasses. For online forms with strict file limits, choose a size limit or use our compress image to 20 KB tool.

Will my photo be accepted?
The tool gets the size and framing right, but acceptance also depends on lighting, expression, glasses and photo age. Always check the official rules for your application.
How do I print passport photos?
Download the 4 × 6 in sheet and print it as a standard 4 × 6 photo at any photo kiosk or pharmacy, or print the A4 sheet at 100% scale on photo paper.
Why is the background not perfectly white around my hair?
Fine hair is hard for any model. Stand in front of a plain light wall for the cleanest result, or pick “Keep original” if your wall is already white.
