How to make an invoice
An invoice should show who is billing whom, a unique number, the date, each item with quantity and price, any tax, and the total due. Line amount = quantity × unit price; tax is applied after the discount.
Tips
- Use a new invoice number every time (INV-001, INV-002…).
- In India, GST-registered businesses must show their GSTIN and follow GST invoice rules; check the official GST portal.
- Add payment terms and bank or UPI details in Notes.

Examples
