A small open model rebuilds the brightness channel and scales it by 3×. Long edges over 400 pixels are reduced first so the tab can finish. This is not a generative upscaler.

Questions
Will faces look like a new photo?
No. The model is a 2016 super-resolution network. It sharpens structure. It does not invent a new face.
Why shrink the picture first?
The model runs on 224 pixel tiles. Capping the long edge at 400 pixels keeps the wait reasonable in a normal browser tab.
Is the model uploaded with my image?
The weights download from this site. Your image is not sent anywhere.

PNG, JPEG, and WebP. The download is a PNG.
