01 — Story
The brief
The Daily Mini is about six everyday words. Everyone on the same date gets the same grid, so times can be compared, and a new puzzle arrives at midnight in your time zone. Practice deals a fresh random mini whenever you want another.
Tap a white square. The current word highlights and its clue sits above the grid. Typing moves forward. Tap the same square again, press Space, or use the arrows to switch between Across and Down. Tab jumps to the next clue. Backspace deletes.
Check paints wrong letters red and costs nothing. Reveal letter fills the selected square and adds 15 seconds. The score is your time. Start with the clues you know. Crossing letters usually open the rest. Come back the next day if you want the streak.
How to fill a square
Tap a square and type, or use the on-screen keys. Switch direction by tapping the square again.
