01 — Story
Dots and Boxes is the pencil game on a grid of dots. Each turn draws one line between neighbors, across or down. The person who draws the fourth side claims the box, colors it, and must move again. When every box is taken, the higher count wins.
Boards are 3×3 for a short game, 4×4 for the usual size, and 5×5 for a long one. Friend mode passes one phone or one computer back and forth. The computer always takes a free box and refuses to give one away until it has no other line.
The useful rule is to avoid drawing the third side of a box. Near the end, every line gives something up. Short chains are the ones you hand over so the long chain comes back to you.
Tap the gap between two neighboring dots. If that line finishes a box, you play again immediately.
