01 — Story
The brief
Turbo Kart Rally is an arcade road that bends and rolls over hills. Five rival karts line up with you for three laps. After the countdown the kart speeds up on its own, so a younger player only has to steer.
Arrows or A and D steer, and so do the on-screen buttons or a press on the left or right half of the track. Down, S, or Brake slows you. Curves push the kart outward, so turn in early. Grass drags. A tree or a sign nearly stops you. A bump into a rival from behind costs speed too.
Yellow strips are a short burst. The counters show lap, place, and time. Your score is the finish time in seconds, along with the place. The inside line, and brakes only on the tightest bends, is how the time drops.
How to drive
Do not look for an accelerator. Steer early into bends and tap the brake only when the curve is too tight to hold.
