01 — Story
The brief
Word Search hides a themed list in a square of letters. Easy words run left to right or top to bottom. Hard words also run diagonally and backwards. Every puzzle is generated, so the grid does not repeat.
Press the first letter and drag to the last. The selection snaps to a straight line. On a phone you can tap the first letter and then the last if dragging is awkward. A keyboard works too: arrows, then Enter on the first and last letters. Found words highlight and leave the list.
Themes are Animals, Food, Space, Sports, and Nature. Easy is 10×10. Hard is 12×12 with all eight directions. The timer starts on the first selection and stops when the list is done. Lower is better. Scan for Z, Q, X, K, or a double letter, then check the words that need them.
How to mark a word
Drag from the first letter to the last, or tap both ends. A crooked drag will not count. It has to be a straight line.
