What the four scores mean
- Chemistry compares the elements. Same-element pairs and fire–air or earth–water pairs score highest.
- Communication rises when an air or mutable sign is involved and dips when both signs are fixed and stubborn.
- Trust and stability rises with earth and fixed signs and dips when both signs are very changeable.
- Teamwork comes from the classic distance between signs: trine (4 apart) and sextile (2 apart) flow easily, opposites complete each other, squares challenge each other.

How is the love compatibility score calculated?
Four small scores are averaged: chemistry (the elements fire, earth, air and water), communication (air and mutable signs help), trust (earth and fixed signs help) and teamwork (the distance between the two signs, such as trine or opposite). The same pair always gets the same score, whichever sign you pick first.
Which zodiac signs are most compatible?
Fire and air signs often get on well (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius with Gemini, Libra, Aquarius), and so do earth and water signs (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn with Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces). Signs four apart, called trines, score highest here.
Can two “incompatible” signs be happy together?
Yes. Sign compatibility is a game based on simple patterns. Kindness, honesty and effort matter far more than any score.
Is this based on Sun sign or Moon sign?
You can use either. Many Western pages use the Sun sign. In Indian astrology the Moon sign matters most, and for that you can try our Kundli matching (Guna Milan).
