How to get the most from a tarot reading
- Ask an open question. “What should I focus on?” works better than “Will I get it?”.
- Take a breath, then draw. A calm minute makes the reading feel more personal.
- Read the meaning, then pause. Which line fits your life? Notice that, and ignore the rest.
- Turn it into one small action. A message to send, a break to take, a plan to write.
The 78 cards in brief
A tarot deck has 78 cards. The 22 Major Arcana (The Fool to The World) show big themes and turning points. The 56 Minor Arcana are four suits of 14 cards each: Wands (action), Cups (feelings), Swords (thoughts) and Pentacles (work and money).
Is tarot spooky?
Not here. Our readings are gentle and practical, and every card, including The Tower or Death, is explained as change, learning and a fresh start, never as a threat.
Frequently asked questions
Is this tarot reading free?
Yes. The reader is free with no sign-up and no hidden steps, and nothing is saved.
How does the shuffle work?
Your browser shuffles all 78 cards using its secure random generator, then deals the number of cards for the spread you picked. Reversed cards appear about three times in ten if you leave that option on.
Can tarot predict the future?
No. Tarot is a symbolic tradition and a prompt for reflection. It cannot predict events, and nothing on this page is advice. Please use it for fun and speak with a qualified professional about health, money, legal or relationship decisions.
What is the difference between upright and reversed?
Upright means the card appears the right way up. Reversed means it is upside down. Reversed cards are usually read as the same theme turned inward, blocked or asking for gentler attention. You can switch reversed cards off.
Which spread should I pick?
One card is great for a daily thought. The three-card spread (past, present, future) is the classic. The love and work spreads give a card for each side of the question and a card for the way forward.
Where do the card images come from?
The art is the 1909 Rider–Waite–Smith deck drawn by Pamela Colman Smith, which is in the public domain. All card meanings were written by ViralScopeHub.
