How to use the Add Watermark to Video
Videos get reposted without credit all the time. A small watermark with your name, @handle or logo makes sure people can find the original creator, and it builds your brand when clips are shared. This tool adds your own mark to every frame of your video.
Choose your video. Type your watermark text, for example your channel name or website, or switch to Logo image and pick a PNG of your logo; transparent PNGs look cleanest. Choose the position: a corner is subtle, the centre is harder to crop out and Tiled repeats the mark across the whole picture for maximum protection. Adjust the size and the opacity; around 50 to 70 percent is visible without distracting from your video.
Press Add watermark. The mark is drawn at full resolution and merged into every frame, then saved as an MP4 with your original sound. Your original video file on your device is not changed.
Text or logo?
A text watermark is the quickest choice and always looks sharp because it is drawn at the exact size of your video. A logo looks more professional if you already have one; use a PNG with a transparent background and enough resolution, ideally at least 500 pixels wide, so it stays crisp when scaled. Keep the same watermark on all your videos so viewers start to recognise it.
Choosing a good watermark
Keep it short and recognisable: an @handle or a short website works better than a long sentence. Place it away from the bottom-right corner on vertical videos if the app shows buttons there; top-left or centre-top are often safer. Semi-transparent white text with the built-in soft shadow is readable on both bright and dark scenes.
For photos, use Add Watermark to Photo, which can mark a whole batch at once. To add changing titles or captions instead of a fixed mark, use Add Text to Video.
How strong is a watermark?
A corner watermark is easy to crop out, so if protection matters more than looks, choose Centre or Tiled. Nothing makes a video impossible to copy, but a clear mark shows ownership and is useful evidence if you ever need to report a stolen video to a platform.
VSH take
VSH take: watermarking should be quick and free, and your unreleased videos should not have to be uploaded to a stranger’s server to get one. This tool runs on your device with no sign-up and adds only your mark, never ours. Need a smaller file afterwards? Use the Video Compressor. Use these tools only on videos you made or have permission to edit.

Frequently asked questions
Is my video uploaded?
No. The video is processed by your own browser on your own device, so it never reaches our server and no one else can see it.
Do you add your own watermark too?
No. Only your text or logo is added. The tool is free with no sign-up.
What logo format works best?
A PNG with a transparent background. JPG logos work too but show their background box.
Can I remove a watermark later?
Not from the new file, because the mark is part of the picture. Keep your original video if you may need a clean copy.
